Peyman Skuti, a Gilak activist from the town of Kuchesefahan in Rasht, has been sentenced to six years and nine months of imprisonment by the Revolutionary Court of Gilan.
 

According to reports received by the Hengaw Organizat for Human Rights, Peyman Skuti was recently convicted by Branch 3 of the Revolutionary Court of Gilan on the charges of "propaganda against the government" and “plotting and conspiracy against national security," as well as "membership in groups or branches formed inside the country with the aim of disrupting national security." He has been sentenced to six years, nine months, and three days of imprisonment.
 

By invoking the “Aggregation of Sentences” the most severe punishment, which is three years, six months, and one day of imprisonment, will be implemented on Peyman Skuti.

It worth noting that the final court hearing for Peyman Skuti was held on Monday, June 4th, at the Revolutionary Court of Gilan.
 

Peyman Skuti was arrested by the intelligence forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard(IRGC) on Monday, May 23rd, 2022, and was subsequently transferred to Lakan Prison in Rasht after 10 days of detention. Finally, on September 24th, 2022, after four months of detention, he was temporarily released on bail of one billion Tomans until the end of the trial proceedings.
