Hengaw has received information about the deprivation of several female students of Sanandaj Kurdistan University of their rights to stay and access the dormitory of this university.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, recently some students of the Kurdistan University of Sanandaj were deprived of their rights to register in the dormitory of the university.

According to a reliable source, these students have been denied the right to benefit from the dormitory due to "summoning by the security and disciplinary committee" and also "arranging a security report without informing them".

In March of 2023, Hengaw published a report about the summoning of students of Kurdistan University and obtaining a written commitment for not observing the hijab, and we indicated: The security personnel warned the students that if they continue to not observe the hijab, they will be deprived of the services of this University.

Last year, during the Jin, Jiyan, and Azadi movement, a large number of Kurdistan University students were summoned and threatened, and a number of them faced deprivation and detention by the security institutions.
