Kurdish University Student Arrested by Iranian Authorities

Sina Mohammadi, a Kurdish resident of Bolbanabad city, Kurdistan (Sanandaj) Province, and a student at the University of Kurdistan, was arrested by Iranian intelligence officers using force.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at 4:00 AM on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, intelligence officers raided Sina Mohammadi's family home in Bolbanabad, using violence and physical assault to arrest him. He was then transferred to an undisclosed location.

Sina Mohammadi, 24, is a sociology student at the University of Kurdistan in Sanandaj.
