By summoning and torturing Hamed Hosseinzadeh, the father of Akam Hosseinzadeh, a political activist and member of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI), the Intelligence Department in Oshnavieh (Shno) threatened this person that if his son continued his political activities, their family members would be killed by the forces of this government institution.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organisation for Human Rights, recently, Hamed Hosseinzadeh, a 50-year-old resident hailing from the village of "Shahvaneh" in Oshnavieh, was summoned to the local intelligence department within this city. During the summons, he was confronted with death threats aimed at both himself and his family members.
The intelligence department in Oshnavieh issued a threat to this family, indicating that their residence would collapse on them and their assets would be seized. Additionally, Akam Hosseinzadeh's father received a warning that unless his son's activities are halted, he and his family may soon be compelled to leave Iran.
According to a reliable source, Hamed Hosseinzadeh was apprehended by the Ministry of Intelligence in April 2021. He endured both physical and psychological torment for the duration of one month while confined within the detention facility of this security institution.
It is noteworthy to mention that Akam Hosseinzadeh, a political activist and member of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan and the son of Hamed Hosseinzadeh, has faced numerous assassination threats over the past years. He has also experienced the pressure of having family members arrested by government institutions.
In this context, it is pertinent to note that in July of the current year, three individuals associated with the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan, identified as Siamand Shaboyi from Shawaneh village in Oshnavieh city, as well as Adel (Sarbaz) Mohajer and Luqman Aji from Piranshahr, were tragically assassinated in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
