25 days of silence – fate of Matin Osloub remains unknown after arrest

Matin Osloub, a 25-year-old Kurdish man from Naqadeh, was arrested last month by agents of the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). His whereabouts and condition remain unknown.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Osloub was detained 25 days ago, and there has been no contact or news about him since.

He was arrested without an arrest warrant after IRGC intelligence forces carried out a full search of his family home. Osloub, who works as an auto mechanic, was taken into custody on Sunday, July 13, 2024, and transferred to an undisclosed location.

No details have been made public regarding the reasons for his arrest or the charges against him.
