Jamal Alizadeh, one of the well-known civil activists and former political prisoners from Piranshahr, was arrested by the Iranian authorities after being summoned. He has been transferred to Naqdeh Central Prison to serve his 30 months of imprisonment.It should be mentioned that Alizadeh was arrested in the 'Jin, Jiyan, Azadi' movement.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, Jamal Alizadeh, a resident of Piranshahr, was arrested after being summoned by the judiciary of the city. He was sentenced to two years and six months in prison and transferred to Nakhdeh Central Prison.
In March-April 2023, Jamal Alizadeh was sentenced to 30 months in prison on the charge of "collaborating with hostile media" by the Mahabad Revolutionary Court headed by Judge "Ajaqluo".
According to reliable sources, while the deadline for the execution of the prison sentence of this civil activist was until mid-autumn of this year, it was done ahead of schedule due to the pressure of the security institutions.
Jamal Alizadeh was arrested by government forces on Tuesday evening, October 18, 2023, during popular protests in Piranshahr. Finally, on Sunday, February 12, 2023, after 4 months of detention, he was temporarily released from Naqdeh Central Prison with a bail of 3 billion tomans until the end of his proceedings.
It is worth noting that this civil activist has been arrested many times by Iranian security institutions.
