Nine individuals including 2 teenagers were detained in Qorveh in one week

Since the beginning of the week, 8 Kurdish individuals from Qorveh, including Rasoul Soltanian, Arman Soltanian, Abdullah Abdolmaleki, Mehdi Feizi, Arman Kouhi, and Omid Khosravi, along with two 15-year-old juveniles by g the names Taha Varmaghani and Matin Ghanbari, as well as Mohammad Sheikh Jafari, a Turkish individual from Qorveh, have been detained by the forces of the Islamic Republic on the anniversary of the government-Sanctioned murder of Jina Amini and the start of the “Jin, Jian, Azadi” movement.
 

According to a report obtained by the Hengaw organization for Human Rights, on Tuesday, September 19th, 2023, Arman Soltanian and Rasoul Soltanian were detained by the Intelligence forces of the Revolutionary Guard Corps in Qorveh.
 

Arman Soltanian, a local business man in Qorveh, had also been detained previously during the “Jin, Jian, Azadi” movement last year. 
 

Moreover, earlier this Saturday, on September 16th, two 15-year-old juveniles from Qorveh, Matin Ghanbari and his friend Taha Varmaghani, were detained by the Intelligence forces of the Revolutionary Guard Corps in Qorveh.
 

On the other hand, simultaneously with the anniversary of the “Jin, Jian, Azadi” movement on September 16th, Abdullah Abdolmaleki, a retired teacher from Qorveh, and Mehdi Feizi were detained by the Revolutionary Guard Corps forces.
 

As reported previously by Hengaw, Abdullah Abdolmaleki detained for standing against the insult by the Revolutionary Guard Corps forces to the protesting girls and filming them on one of the streets of Qorveh. and Mehdi Feizi was detained in his family's home.
 

Following the detentions on last Saturday, Mehran Kouhi, a graduate student in computer software engineering at the University of Kurdistan in Sanandaj, and Omid Kouhi were detained in their residence in Qorveh without presenting any judicial warrant.
 

As of the time of compiling this report, there is no precise information available about the charges against detained individuals and the conditions and location of their detention.
