Saman KhezrNezhad, a resident of Bukan who was arrested three months ago, has recently been accused of “Mohārrb” (waging war against God) and "Sāb Al-Nabi" (insulting the prophet).
According to information gathered by Hengaw, Saman KhezrNezhad was apprehended by intelligence forces near the Marivan border and subsequently transferred to the Security Detention Center in Urmia.
At 27 years old, Saman KhezrNezhad holds a degree in Physical Education.
Reliable sources have indicated that Saman KhezrNezhad is accused of waging war against God and insulting the prophet, offenses that, under the Islamic Penal Code, often carry the death penalty.
It is worth noting that the honorary security assistant working in the Bukan prosecutor’s office denied Saman KhezrNezhad a final meeting with his mother, who tragically passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
During his 87-day detention, Saman KhezrNezhad has been deprived of fundamental rights as a defendant, including access to legal representation and family visits.
