Two Kurdish individuals, Kianoush Cheraghi from Dehloran in Ilam province and Hossein Sanginabadi from Qorveh, were detained by Iranian government security forces during a violent raid.
According to a report received by the Hengaw organization for human rights, on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, Koianoush Cheraghi, a 43-year-old resident of Dehloran, was forcibly arrested at his home during a violent incursion by security forces.
Kianoush Cheraghi was employed as a civil servant at the Social Security Office in Dehloran. It is reported that he resigned from his position in protest before his detention by the Intelligence Office during the “Jin, Jian, Azadi” movement.
The arrest of Mr. Cheraghi is to be related to the posting of a video on Instagram during the days leading up to the anniversary of the state-sponsored murder of Jina Amini, according to sources.
Furthermore, earlier on the night of Tuesday, September 26, 2023, Hossein Sanginabadi, a 40-year-old resident of Qorveh, was also detained.
According to an informed source, Hossein Sanginabadi, a local businessman in the Qorveh city market, was apprehended during a raid by forces of the IRGC's intelligence department and was subsequently transferred to an undisclosed location.
