Three Kurdish individuals in Piranshahr and Sanandaj were detained by Iranian authorities

Arsalan Diwargr, a resident of Divandarreh, and two individuals from Piranshahr, Salam Mahmoudi and Mustafa Oftadeh, have been detained by security forces. Arsalan Diwargr was previously detained during the “Women, Life, Freedom Movement.
 

According to reports obtained by the Hengaw organization for Human Rights, on Thursday, September 28, 2023, Arsalan Diwargr, a 46-year-old resident of Divandarreh, was detained after being summoned to the intelligence office in Sanandaj (Sine).
 

Arsalan Diwargr had also been detained on January 7th, 2023, by the intelligence agency and was temporarily released from Sanandaj Prison on February 28th, 2022, after 52 days in detention upon posting a bail of one billion Truman.
 

On the same day, Mustafa Oftadeh, a 43-year-old from the village of “Karkhaneh Ghand” in Piranshahr, was detained by government forces at his residence and transferred to an undisclosed location.
 

Additionally, the day prior, on September 28th, Salam Mahmoudi, a 58-year-old resident of Piranshahr, was detained by security forces in the border market of PiranShahar.
 

According to an informed source, Iranian authorities brutally assaulted Mr. Mahmoudi, used ankle restraints during his arrest, and transferred him to an undisclosed location.
 

As of the time of compiling this report, precise information regarding the reasons for their detention and any associated charges against these three individuals has not been disclosed.
