Two 17-Year-Old Teens Arrested in Mahabad and Zahedan

Pooya Khezri, a 17-year-old Kurdish teenager hailing from Mahabad, and Abdullah Zarouzahi, also 17, a Baloch youth from Zahedan, were apprehended by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to a report obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the evening of Tuesday, October 10, 2023, Pooya Khezri, a resident of Mahabad, was arrested during a raid conducted by security forces at his family's home located in the "Psht Tape" neighborhood of the city.
On the day prior, Monday, October 9, Abdullah Zarouzehi was taken into custody by security forces on Saadat Street in Zahedan.
Following their arrests, Pooya Khezri was transferred to a security detention facility in Urmia, while Abdullah Zarouzehi's whereabouts remain undisclosed.
As of the time of reporting, no information has been provided regarding the reasons for their arrest or any charges filed against these two 17-year-olds.
