The execution of at least three prisoners, including two Afghan nationals, has been carried out in Ghezel Hesar prison in Karaj

Three prisoners, previously sentenced to death for the crime of "intentional murder," have been executed in Ghezel Hesar prison in Karaj. The identities of these prisoners—Nazir Mohammad Tajik and Noor Mohammad Barbari, both Afghan nationals, along with another prisoner named Shahab Elhami—have been confirmed.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, in the early hours of Wednesday, October 11, 2023, the death sentences of at least three prisoners, including two Afghan nationals named Nazir Mohammad Tajik and Noor Mohammad Barbari, along with another prisoner named Shahab Elhami, were carried out in Ghezel Hesar prison in Karaj.

These three prisoners had previously been arrested and sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In this context, the Etemad government media has covered one of the three cases of today's death sentence execution, with no reports in either government or judiciary media about the execution of the remaining two prisoners.
