Omran Gorgij, a young Baloch college student from the city of Zahedan, the capital of Sistan and Balouchistan, has been apprehended by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Friday, October 13th, 2023, Omran Gorgij, a 22-year-old college student majoring in computer science from Zahedan, was taken into custody by security forces in Zahedan.
Informed sources indicate that Omran Gorgij was detained on his way back home from a mosque in Zahedan.
Omran Gorgij has been transferred to an undisclosed location following his arrest, and as of the time of this report, precise information regarding the reasons for his detention and the charges against him is not available.
