The death sentences of two inmates, Mr. Jalal Vahdati of Aligoudarz, Lorestan, and Mr. Khalil Mohammadi hailing from Harsin, Kermanshah Province (Kermashan), have been carried out in Khorramabad Central Prison. These individuals had previously been convicted of drug-related offenses.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights on October 30, 2023, the executions of 37-year-old Jalal Vahdati and Khalil Mohammadi, a father of two children, took place within the confines of Khorramabad Central Prison.
It's worth noting that although the court had proposed the commutation of Jalal Vahdati's death sentence, the Special Judicial Commission rejected this plea.
Yesterday, Jalal Vahdati and Khalil Mohammadi were transferred to solitary confinement within Khorramabad Central Prison along with another inmate in preparation for the execution.
Notably, the news of these executions remained undisclosed until the publication of this report, particularly in government-affiliated media outlets, including those closely associated with the judiciary.
