The death sentence of Maryam Forough Manesh, an inmate who was charged with homicide, was executed in Yasuj Central Prison. At least 15 female prisoners have been executed within the past 10 months in Iran's prisons.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, November 2, 2023, the execution of Maryam Forough Manesh, Dehdasht city, Kohgiluyeh, and Boyer-Ahmad province was carried out in Yasuj central prison.
Maryam Forough Manesh was taken into custody under a homicide charge, and later she was sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
