Execution of Two Baloch Prisoners in Zahedan

The death sentences of two Baloch prisoners, Abdul Basit Gorgich and Abdul Aziz Shahlibur, previously convicted for drug-related crimes, were carried out in Zahedan Central Prison.

According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Saturday, December 9, 2023, Abdul Basit Gorgich (33 years old) from Zahedan and Abdul Aziz (Hemel) Shahlibur (34 years old) from Dalgan city were executed at the central prison of Zahedan.

Abdul Basit Gorgich, a father of two children, was arrested four years ago, and Abdul Aziz Shahlibur, a father of three children, was arrested five years ago on charges related to drug-related crimes. Subsequently, they were sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
