Government Forces' Direct Fire Causes Injuries to Three Kolbars at Baneh Border

Zaniar Sabour of Bukan and two other kolbars, Wafa Rasoul Nezhad and Mohammad Wakili from Saqqez, sustained severe injuries as a result of direct gunfire from government-armed troops at the Baneh Hangazhall border. The general health condition of Wafa Rasoul Nezhad is reported to be critical.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, 23-year-old Zaniar Sabour and Mohammad Wakili were wounded by gunfire from government forces at the Baneh border. Mohammad Wakili suffered injuries to his back and shoulders.

The previous day, Tuesday, December 19, saw another incident involving a 28-year-old Kolbar identified as Wafa Rasoul Nezhad from Saqqez, who was injured by gunfire from the armed troops of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Wafa Rasoul Nezhad sustained severe fractures in his back and pelvis after being shot. He has been transported to a medical center in Tabriz, where his health condition is reported to be critical.
