The death sentences of three prisoners, Shirali Saeidi, Saman Mogouei, and Reza Keshavarzi, were carried out in Isfahan Central Prison. The executed individuals had been previously sentenced to death on charges related to drug-related offenses.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organisation for Human Rights, on the morning of Saturday, December 23, 2023, the death sentences of two prisoners, Shirali Saeidi (36) and Saman Mogouei (31), both from Khomeynishahr, Isfahan province, were executed in the central prison of Isfahan.
Additionally, on the morning of Friday, December 22, another prisoner, Reza Keshavarzi from Marvdasht, Fars province, had his death sentence carried out in the central prison of Isfahan.
The Iran Human Rights Organization provided background information, stating, "Shirali Saeidi, formerly a butcher, had been detained for the past three years and sentenced to death. Saman Mogouei was arrested approximately five years ago, while Reza Keshavarzi was detained about four years ago, both subsequently receiving death sentences."
Notably, as of the time of this report, there has been no official announcement of the execution of these three prisoners in government-sanctioned media outlets, particularly those aligned with the judiciary.
