The death sentences of at least three prisoners, including two Kurds, who were previously convicted for drug-related crimes and homicide, were carried out in Sabzevar Central Prison in Khorasan-e Razavi province.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, the death sentences of two prisoners, Hashem Zorabadi, a 42-year-old Kurdish individual from Joveyn city, and Amir Ahmadzadeh from Sabzevar, on charges of drug-related crimes, were executed in Sabzevar Central Prison.

Simultaneously, the death sentence of Mehdi Kivanlu, a 45-year-old Kurdish individual from Sabzevar, previously sentenced to death for premeditated murder, was also carried out.

As of the time of reporting, the execution of these three prisoners has not been announced in government media, particularly in outlets close to the judiciary.
