At the end of last week, at least six Kurdish citizens named Sirvan Sepehri, Mostafa Sami, Hejar Ahmadi-Azer, Naser Alipour, Ribwar Kohgard, and Aram Sabzi were arrested by the Iranian Intelligence forces in Bukan.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights,m, in the early morning hours of Wednesday, January 17, 2024, dozens of Iranian Intelligence forces stormed the homes of several Kurdish activists in Bukan City, and at least three people named Sirvan Sepehri, Mustafa Sami and Aram Sabzi, 30 were arrested.

Following these arrests and in the early hours of Thursday, January 18, three other citizens named Hajar Ahmadiazar 52 years old, Naser Alipour 52 years old, and Ribwar Kohgard were arrested by the Iranian Intelligence forces.

According to Hengaw’s sources, the arrest of these six citizens was carried out by resorting to violence and without presenting any legal warrant, and all their mobile phones and electronic devices were also confiscated by Iranian intelligence.

So far, detailed information about the reasons for the arrest and the charges against these six citizens, as well as their fate and whereabouts, have not been made available, and the follow-up of their families in this regard has been fruitless.
