Zana Menbari, a Kurdish individual from Sanandaj, has been detained by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He is the nephew of Peyman Menbari, one of the individuals killed during the Woman, Life, Freedom (Jin, Jiyan, Azadi) movement in Sanandaj.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, Zana Menbari, 24 years old, was arrested by the intelligence forces in Sanandaj.
A trusted source revealed that the security forces conducted a raid on Menbari's workplace in the Haji Abad neighborhood of Sanandaj and detained him.
Zana Menbari's relation to Peyman Menbari, a victim of the Woman, Life, Freedom movement, adds poignancy to his arrest.
