Hengaw: Iran's Judiciary sentenced 19 Kurdish political and civil activists to confinement in January 2019.

In January 2019, Iran's Judiciary sentenced 19 Kurdish political and civil activists to 59 years and 6 months of nonsuspended confinement, according to the statistic center of Hengaw Organisation for Human Rights.

According to this report, 18 Kurdish citizens were charged on cooperating with Kurdish opposition parties of Iran who were sentenced to 56 years and 6 months of confinement all togethere. Yet , a civil activist was sentenced to 3 years of confinement.

Based on this report, 7 activists are from Rabat, Sardasht, 6 are from Oshnavieh (Shno), 2 are from Piranshahr and 4 activists are from Sna (Sanandaj), Saqez, Boukan and Urmia.

The longest time period is 7 years and the shortest is one years of confinement.
