Religious Activist and Retired Teacher Arrested; 10 Teachers Arrested in 11 Months in Kurdistan

Hengaw: A retired teacher from Sanandaj (Sna) was arrested by Iran's security forces and there is no news about his whereabouts.

On Sunday 21st January, Sanandaj's Intelligence Forces stormed into Kamal Hosseinpanahi's house, a retired teacher habitant of Sanandaj, and arrested him, according to the report of Hengaw Organisation for Human Rights.

"The teacher was arrested because of his relligious beliefs", said a source with information.

Since the arrest of the 51 year old teacher still nobody knows about his whereabouts.

Kamal Hosseinpanahi was teaching in elementary schools in the city before his retirement.

Since 11 months ago at least 10 teachers and university professors have been arrested by Iran's security agencies, based on statistics center of Hengaw Organisation for Human Rights.
