Four Kurds,including two teachers, arrested in Saqqez

With the identification of three additional individuals arrested in Saqqez—Abdollah Karim Golan, Azad Khadem, and Saro Azizi—by the Intelligence Department of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) , the total number of detainees in this city has risen to four. Hengaw had previously reported the arrest of Behzad Dadkhah as well.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Monday, November 25, 2024, Abdollah Karim Golan and two teachers, Azad Khadem and Saro Azizi, all residents of Saqqez, were arrested in the city.

Hengaw had earlier reported the arrest of Behzad Dadkhah, a 30-year-old resident of Saqqez, at his workplace in the city.

According to an informed source, the four individuals  are facing charges of “propaganda against the government and membership in opposition groups.”

Abdollah Karim Golan, Azad Khadem, Saro Azizi, and Behzad Dadkhah remain in the custody of the IRGC Intelligence Department.
