Kurdish Inmate Hanged by Iran

Hengaw — Iranian judicial authorities and prison officials executed a Kurdish man on Tuesday (9th July) in central Mahabad prison, Western Azerbaijan.

The identity of the man was reported to Hengaw Organization for Human Rights as “Wais Alipour”.

He was charged with murder for years ago. He reportedly killed another man over financial disputes.

According to the information obtained by Hengaw, Alipour was executed at the courtyard of Mahabad prison in the attendance of the prisoners.

Data center of Hengaw said in a previous report that 19 Kurds were executed in Iran between 1st January and 30th June this year.
