Arresting of at least 26 Kurdish citizens in February 2020

Hengaw: In February at least 26 Kurdish citizens arrested due to their political, social, labor and religious activity by security agencies of Islamic Republic of Iran.

Based on recorded statistics in Hengaw Human Rights Organization Statistics Centre, in February at least 26 Kurdish citizens have been arrested by Iranian intelligence forces in several cities of Kurdistan.

Division by accusation:

Political activists: 23 cases equal to 88 percent

Labor activists: 2 cases equal to 8 percent

Unknown case: 1 case equals to 4 percent

List of provinces:

Kurdistan province (Sanandaj): 13 cases

West-Azerbaijan province (Urmia): 10 case

Kermanshah province: 3 cases
