Detention and transfer of a kurdish citizen from Sardasht to Urmia Central Prison

Hengaw : A Kurdish citizen from Sardasht district of West Azerbaijan province in Iranian Kurdistan , who was detained  by the security services of the Islamic Republic of Iran about one  month ago, has been transferred to Urmia Central Prison.

 According to a report received by Hengaw  Human Rights Organization, on Friday, November 20, 2020, a detained citizen from Sardasht, identified as Amanj Karavanchi, 28-year-old , was transferred to Urmia Central Prison after completing his interrogation.

 According to an informed source, Amanj Karavanchi was detained by the Iranian Intelligence service In Sardasht on Tuesday ,October 27, 2020 and transferred to the Iranian  Intelligence Service Bureau detention center in Urmia.

 The source further stated that the Iranian security services have accused this Kurdish citizen of being a member of Islamic extremist religious groups.
