At least three Kurdish protestors were murdered by direct fire from Iranian security forces during demonstrations on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. Iranian security forces also injured more than 161 people and detained scores of people. 

 

The number of fatalities in the recent Kurdistan protests has risen to 7, as Mino Majidi A woman from Qasreshirin murdered and Fouad Qadimi, one of the injured from the Diwandara demonstrations, passed away. Those there included Reza Lotfi from Dehgolan, Fereydoun Mahmoudi from Saqqez, 16-year-old Zakaria Khial from Piranshahr, Mino Majidi from Qasreshirin, Fouad Qadimi and Mohsen Mohammadi, and Farjad Darvishi from Diwandara. 

 

According to Hengaw Human Rights Organization statistics, at least 14 cities took to the streets on Tuesday 20 September, including Abdanan, Ilam, Kermanshah, Sanandaj, Marivan, Urmia, Baneh, Qorveh, Rabat, Sardasht, Piranshahr, Urmia, Mako, and Bazergan, to protest the state kill of a 22-year-old girl from Saqqez. After government forces intervened, the protests turned violent, with at least three protesters killed and 161 others injured.

Kermanshah; 1 killed and 26 wounded 

Qorveh; 8 wounded

 Statistics for the last four days in general:

According to Hengaw Human Rights Organization's Statistics and Documents Center, seven Kurdish protestors have died as a result of direct fire from government forces in the last four days, with 450 people injured. Many injured people have not visited medical centers for fear of being arrested by security forces, but their videos and photos have been provided to Hengaw, and some of them have been published on the organization's social media.

Bijar: 9 wounded 

Qorveh: 17 wounded

 Over 500 Kurdish protesters have been arrested in the last four days:

According to Hengaw Human Rights Organization's Statistics and Documents Center, over the last four days, more than 500 Kurdish citizens have been arrested by security agencies, and the identities of nearly 100 of them have been verified for Hengaw and will be published in a separate report. 

 

Hengaw reported last night on Twitter that 190 citizens arrested in recent days had been transferred to Sanandaj Central Prison.
