Four Kurdish men arrested in Saqqez, whereabouts remain unknown

Four Kurds from Saqqez, identified as Zakaria Moradi, Omid Rahimzadeh, Mehdi Kamali, and Mohammad Aminpour, have been arrested by forces of the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence and transferred to an undisclosed location.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Moradi, Rahimzadeh, and Kamali were arrested on the evening of Monday, August 18, 2025, at their homes in Saqqez.

Sources close to the case, informed Hengaw that shortly after these arrests, Aminpour was deceived into attending a supposed work meeting by Intelligence agents and was then detained during a coordinated raid.

No detailed information has been made available regarding the reasons for the arrests, the place of detention, or the charges brought against the four men.
