Imposing imprisonment sentence for 5 Kurdish activists in July 2022

Hengaw: In the last month, branches of the Revolutionary and Criminal Courts of the Judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran have sentenced at least 5 Kurdish political and civil activists to prison.
 

According to the statistics registered in the Statistics and Documentation Center of Hengaw Human Rights Organization, in June 2022, at least 5 Kurdish political and civil activists were tried by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran and sentenced to a total of 4 years and 3 months imprisonment and 5 years suspended imprisonment.
 

Most of the verdicts, which include 2 cases, were issued by the Sanandaj Revolutionary Court.

Civil and trade union activism: 1 case equal to 20% of the total cases
Religious activism: No cases have been recorded

Ilam: No cases have been recorded

Branch 1 of Sanandaj Revolutionary Court: 2 cases
Bukan Revolutionary Court: 1 case
Mahabad Revolutionary Court: 1 case
Oshnavieh Revolutionary Court: 1 case

The names of the people are as follows:

1- Adel Mehrnavaei from Bukan, sentenced to 4 months imprisonment
2- Kaveh Soleimanpour from Bukan, sentenced to 6 months imprisonment
3- Rebvar Abdollahi from Sanandaj, sentenced to 2 years suspended imprisonment
4- Fardin Mowludi from Sanandaj, sentenced to 5 months imprisonment
5- Sina Minaei from Oshnavieh, sentenced to 3 years imprisonment and 3 years suspended imprisonment
