Hengaw : During the past few days, the pressure from the Iranian security agencies on the Glaris women's music band in Kermanshah has increased, and in addition to the detention of two members of this band for several hours, all members of the band have been summoned or Iranian Security Police offices and forced to sign to a commitment letter .
According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on Saturday, June 16, 2020, two members of the Glaris women's music band in Kermanshah were arrested and interrogated after being summoned to the "Iranian Security Police office " in the city. .
Hengaw’s correspondent in Kermanshah announced the identities of two members as Nazanin Atabaki and Nasrin Yazdanipour, that were released on a bail on the same day after being interrogated until their trial at court .
On Sunday, Iranian state media reported the arrest of two women on what was called a "norm-breaking ceremony" without naming the group or detained members.
The sources said that the arrest of the two members of the Glaris band took place after they had prepared a short clip for advertising for a furniture store .
An informed source told Hengaw that in the past few days, the members of this band , including Nazanin Atabaki, Samira Farhanaki, Maliheh Moradi, Nasrin YazdaniPour and Elham YazdaniPour as the leader of the band have been summoned to the Iranian Security Police office several and forces to sign to a commitment letter to not participate in the production of such video clips.
It has been reported that Marjan Karamjani, another member of the Glaris music band in Kermanshah, was banned from working in music field by the Iranian security services last year.
The women's music band "Glaris" was founded in Kermanshah in 1996 and is active in the field of Kurdish folk and traditional music. So far, it has held several concerts in different cities of Iran and the Kurdistan region.
