Masoud Shams Nejad, a Kurdish Lawyer Sentenced to 6 Years in Prison

Hengaw: Masoud Shams Nejad, a Kurdish lawyer from Urmia, was sentenced to imprisonment by the Iranian judiciary.

On Sunday, February 10, Massoud Shams Nejad was sentenced to 6 years imprisonment by Branch 3rd Revolutionary Tribunal of Urmia on charges of propaganda against the regime and action against national security.

On January 8, ”Masoud Shams Nejad” was arrested by Iran's intelligence service.

He was given no access to a lawyer during his trial.

Shams Nejad is now being held in Urmia central prison.
