Hengaw: A Kurdish prisoner lost his life due to the delay in transferring to the hospital at the Urmia Prison.

On the morning of Tuesday, January 1, a Kurdish prisoner with the identity of ”Omar Rasouli” died due to the delay of the prison authorities of Urmia, because of his transfer to medical centres outside the prison.

”Omar Rasouli, 45-year-old, was arrested on charges of drug related offenses and sentenced to 5 years in prison. He was held for 7 months in Section 15 of the Urmia Prison”, a source informed said.

“last night, Omar Rassouli suffered severe pain from his chest and heart and immediately should be transferred to treatment centres outside of prison, But the prison authorities were opposed to his transfer, and today he was transferred to the outside of prison, while he lost his life before arriving at the hospital”;a source informed said.
