The number of detained Kurdish citizens in Piranshahr increases and reaches up to 6

Hengaw : At least 6 Kurdish citizens have been detained by the security services of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Piranshahr district of West Azerbaijan (Urmia) province during recent days.

 According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, with the identification of 6 other citizens  in Piranshahr, the number of detainees  in thic city has reached to six in .

Hengaw’s correspondent  in Piranshahr announced that on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, two Kurdish citizens from the village of "Shawleh" named Talib Reyhani and Rashid Reyhani were detained  by Iranian security forces and taken to an unknown location.

 On the same day, four other citizens , identified as Pishtiwan Nabi Zargatan and Rasool Lavazeh from Piranshahr, Karim Khalifani and Hesamuddin Khezri from the village of Kani Budaq, were detained  by Iranian security forces and taken to an unknown location.

 As of preparation of this report , the reason or reasons for detention of these 6 citizens , and  the charges against them have not been clarified .
