Zamaneh Zivieh, a civic activist from Saqez, who was arrested by the city's intelligence service in January this year, has been sentenced to 10 months in prison by Branch one of the Saqez Revolutionary Court in recent days. 
  
According to a report received by Hengaw, the sentence was issued by Judge Javad Mostafaei on charges of membership in a Kurdish opposition party and was officially notified to her on Wednesday, April 28. 
 
Zamaneh Zivieh, 29, a law graduate of Payame Noor University in Saqez, was arrested on Monday, January 29, 2022, after a raid on her home. After 33 days in prison, she was temporarily released on 300 million Tomans bail pending trial. 
 
Zamaneh Zivieh is the mother of a 4-year-old child and was deprived of the right to visit her family and access to a lawyer during her detention.
