Death sentence of two prisoners carried out in Rudbar Central Prison

The death sentences of two prisoners, Ali-Akbar Gharib-Sardavi and Hamed Basirat, were carried out in Rudbar Central Prison, Gilan Province. These individuals were convicted and sentenced to death in separate cases on charges of premeditated murder.
According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Saturday, December 14, 2024, death sentence of Ali-Akbar Gharib-Sardavi, a resident of Rudbar, were executed in Rudbar Central Prison.
Additionally, at dawn on Monday, December 9, 2024, the death sentence of Hamed Basirat, also a resident of Rudbar, was carried out in the same prison.
The Iran Human Rights Organization reported that these two individuals were previously arrested in separate cases on charges of premeditated murder and sentenced to death by the Islamic Republic of Iran judiciary.
As of the publication of this report, the executions of these two prisoners have not been announced in state media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
