Three Kurdish men arrested by Intelligence forces in Naqadeh

Three Kurdish men from Naqadeh—identified as Mohammad-Taher Elyasi, Masoud Mohammadpour, and Ayoob Armand—have been forcibly arrested by intelligence department forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to reports obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the arrests took place over two consecutive days. On Thursday, January 16, 2025, intelligence agents raided the homes of Mohammad-Taher Elyasi and Ayoob Armand, both 35 years old, arresting them and transferring them to an undisclosed location.

A day earlier, on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, Masoud Mohammadpour, a 25-year-old resident of Naqadeh, was violently arrested on a city street while traveling as a passenger in a taxi.

All three detainees, who are married, remain in custody at an unknown location. As of this report, no information has been provided about the charges against them or the reasons for their arrests.
