Kurdish man arrested by security forces in Bukan

Afshin Saeedi, a Kurdish resident of Bukan, has been arrested by the Intelligence Department for the past four days, with his condition and whereabouts remaining unknown.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mr. Saeedi was arrested on the evening of Tuesday, December 24, 2024, by agents of the Bukan Intelligence Department.

The arrest was conducted without the presentation of an arrest warrant, and he was subsequently transferred to an undisclosed location.

Despite the passage of four days, Mr. Saeedi’s family has been unable to obtain any information about his fate or whereabouts.
