17 Kolbars and Local tradesmen Killed and injured During May 2021

According to statistics recorded at the Statistics and Data Documentation Center of Hengaw Human Rights Organization, during May 2021, at least 17 Kolbars and local tradesmen  were killed and wounded on the borders of Iranian Kurdistan.

According to the report, 4 Kolbars and tradesmen lost their lives and 13 other were injured.  It is worth mentioning that one of the wounded Kolbars was shot directly by the Turkish Armed Forces.

The highest number of victims was registered in Kurdistan province with 7 cases.

 

Cause of death or injury:

Direct fire: 14 Cases (3 killed and 11 wounded) equivalent to 82.5% of total cases.

Natural disasters: 2 cases (1 killed and 1 injured) equivalent to 12% of total cases.

Landmine blast : 1 case (1 injured) equivalent to 5.5% of total cases.

 

Separation of victims by province:

West Azerbaijan Province (Urmia): 5 cases (2 killed and 3 injured).

Kurdistan Province (Sanandaj): 7 cases included (7 injured).

Kermanshah province: 5 cases (2 killed and 3 injured).
