Two Kurdish kolbars injured by Iranian Border Guards

Two Kurdish kolbars were injured after being shot by Iranian Border Guard forces in the border regions of Saqqez and Marivan. The injured men have been identified as Siavash Javani from Saqqez and a kolbar named Sina (last name unknown) from the Bashmaq border area of Marivan.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Siavash Javani, 30, was seriously wounded after being directly shot by Border Guard forces on Monday, December 1, 2025, in the Bashtam border area of Saqqez. He sustained severe injuries to his waist and thigh.

Sources told Hengaw that during the incident, a group of kolbars came under direct fire, resulting in one kolbar injured, four pack horses killed, two horses wounded, and two additional horses seized by Border Guard units.

In a separate incident, another kolbar identified only as Sina was also injured after being shot directly by Border Guard forces on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, in the Bashmaq border region of Marivan.
