Kolbar wounded after border forces opened fire using live ammunition

A kolbar identified as Mohammad Motalebi was wounded after Iranian border forces opened fire using live ammunition in the Vazineh plain of Mirabad, a district of Sardasht.

Hengaw has learned that the incident occurred on Friday evening, February 20, 2026. Motalebi, a 33-year-old married kolbar from the village of Alvatan in Mirabad County, was shot while engaged in cross-border carrying.

He was struck in the leg and transferred to medical facilities for treatment.
