The fate of two sisters held at the Correction and Rehabilitation Center remains unknown

Soma and Sirveh PurMohammadi, sisters and active members of the Nojin Cultural-Social Association who were arrested before by government institutions, are still being held at the Correction and Rehabilitation Center in Sanandaj. 

According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Soma and Sirveh PurMohammadi, sisters and civil rights activists from Sanandaj, are being held in prison in complete ignorance of their fate. 
 
Currently, these two sisters are taken during the day to the detention centre of the Intelligence Institution for interrogations, and at night they are taken back to the Correction and Rehabilitation Center in Sanandaj. 


Sirveh Pourmohammadi, a member of the Nozhin Cultural and Social Association, was abducted by Iranian government forces on Sunday, January 29, 2023, after going to the court of this city to pursue the case of the arrested members of the said association.


Soma Pourmohammadi, 33 years old, a Kurdish language teacher and another member of the board of directors of the Nozhin Association, was abducted in front of the second branch of the Sanandaj court while she went there to follow up on the case of her husband, Idris Minbari, member of the board of directors of the Nojin Association.
