Dr. Bayan Salehian, a specialized practitioner in internal medicine from Saqqez has recently been sentenced to 8 months of incarceration by the judicial authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Reports obtained by the Hengaw organization for human rights, indicates that Bayan Salehian, a 40 years old practitioner in internal medicine from Saqqez has been convicted by the Revolutionary Court of Saqez, on the grounds of "engaging in anti-government propaganda through the dissemination of materials on social media." To 8 months imprisonment.
According to reliable sources, the verdict of Bayan Salehian has been converted to monetary fine of 20 million Toman by the “revolutionary” court.
It is important to note that Dr. Bayan Salehian was among the individuals briefly detained alongside two other doctors from the same region during the “Jin, Jian, Azadi” movement last fall of 2022.
