Farhang Dehghan arrested by Intelligence forces in Urmia

Iranian Intelligence Department forces arrested Farhang Dehghan, a Kurdish man from Urmia, during a raid and transferred him to an undisclosed location. Forces used violence during the arrest.

Based on information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Dehghan, from Dizaj Margavar (Dizi) village in Urmia County, was arrested on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

According to Hengaw’s sources, Intelligence Department forces entered Dehghan’s premises without a warrant and used violence during his arrest before transferring him to an undisclosed location.

Authorities have not disclosed the reason for his arrest, the charges against him, or his current place of detention.
