Shervin Hajipour, the protesting singer and songwriter from Babolsar (Mazandaran province), who was arrested during the Woman, Life, Freedom (Jin, Jiyan, Azadi) movement, is sentenced to three years and eight months of imprisonment and complementary punishment.

According to the law of consolidation of sentences, the severe punishment of three years of penal imprisonment is fully applicable to this artist.

As a complementary punishment, Hajipour has been sentenced to summarize and publish two books on political Islam and Islamic women's rights on his social media accounts.

This individual has also been sentenced to compose and release music tracks on "the USA crimes against humanity" and "the USA human rights violations in the past century" on social media.

Furthermore, a "ne exat regeno" has been imposed on this artist, and he is forced to attend a rather eccentric workshop named "the knowledge and skills in the sphere of art."

This artist posted the recent verdict on his Instagram account, mentioning that he chose not to mention the names of the judge and prosecutor to protect himself from potential backlash and defamation.

Shervin Hajipour was impressively supported and admired by the protesters after releasing his well-known track under the name "Baraye" during the Woman, Life, Freedom movement.

This artist was taken into custody after the release of this song. Eventually, he was released on October 4, 2022, pending the conclusion of his trial.
