The security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran shot and severely injured two Kurdish youths in the eastern park near Taq- e Bostan in Kermanshah city. The victims, identified as Arman Basiri and Mohammad Ahmadyani, were targeted while expressing joy through dancing and music.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the afternoon of Thursday, March 21, 2024, Arman Basiri and Mohammad Ahmadyani, two young Kurdish residents of Kermanshah, were shot at by Iranian security forces without any justification as they celebrated the arrival of Nawroz.
An informed source revealed that both young men were struck by a single bullet each, causing them to fall to the ground. Subsequently, the security forces fired an additional eight bullets at Arman Basiri's legs from an extremely close distance.
Currently, both victims are receiving medical treatment at Bistoon Hospital in Kermanshah under the strict supervision of the Intelligence Department.
Disturbingly, the Intelligence Department has threatened the families of these young men, warning them against reporting the shooting incident to the media. They have been intimidated by the prospect of prosecution, interrogation, and arrest if they choose to speak out.
