Three Baloch Prisoners, Including a Woman Executed in Iranian Prisons

The death sentences of three Baloch prisoners, including a woman named Fariba Mohammadzahi, Abdullah Uzbekzahi, and Khalil Barahui, who were previously convicted of drug-related crimes, were carried out in Kerman Central Prison.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at the early hours of Wednesday, May 8, 2024, the execution of three Baloch prisoners named Fariba Mohammadzahi from Zahedan, 28-year-old Abdullah Uzbekzahi from Zahedan, and 35-year-old Khalilullah Barahui (Ahmadzahi) from Khash in Sistan and Baluchestan province took place in Kerman Central Prison.
Three years ago, Abdullah Uzbekzahi, a father of three, was apprehended, while Khalil Barahui, a father of two, was detained two years ago. Both individuals, along with Fariba Mohammadzahi, who was arrested three years ago, received death sentences on charges related to drug crimes. These three prisoners were transferred to solitary confinement yesterday for the execution of their sentences.
The execution of these three prisoners had not been announced in the state media, especially those close to the judiciary, by the time this news was compiled.
