Execution of Four Baloch Prisoners, Including a Woman, Carried Out in Iranian Prisons

The capital punishment of four Baloch prisoners, namely Mehdi Eshterak, Mohammad Shah Bakhsh, Mahmoud Gorgij, and an unidentified woman, was executed at Birjand Central Prison in South Khorasan Province. These individuals had previously received death sentences for offenses related to drug crimes.
According to a report obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, it was revealed that on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, the executions of four Baloch prisoners took place at Birjand Central Prison. The individuals included Mehdi Eshterak from Zahedan, Mohammad Shah Bakhsh, and Mahmoud Gorgij, both also from Zahedan, along with a woman whose identity remains under investigation.
The Baloch Activists Campaign confirmed that these individuals had been sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran for their involvement in drug-related offenses.
