Young Kurdish Kolbar fatally shot by the IRGC with a DShk bullet

A young Kurdish Kolbar from Sardasht city, named Salar Ahmadi, was killed by IRGC forces with a DShk rifle inside the territory of the Kurdistan region of Iraq. 

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Thursday, May 9, 2024, the IRGC forces stationed at the border of Sardasht opened fire, using DShk rifles, on a group of Kolbars, inside the territory of the Kurdistan region of Iraq, and as a result, a Kolbar with the identity of Salar Ahmadi was killed.

According to Hengaw’s sources, Salar Ahmadi was 23 years old from the village of "Nelas" in the district of Sardasht, and his body has not yet been returned to his hometown.

Based on the statistics compiled by the Statistics and Documents Center of Hengaw, since the beginning of May until now (9 days), at least 5 Kurdish Kolbars have been killed by direct fire from the Iranian Border Guards and the IRGC forces in the borders of Baneh, Saqqez, and Sardasht.
