Iranian Border Guards open fire at Baneh Border, injuring two Kurdish Kolbars

Two Kurdish Kolbars, Ako Sharifi and Shwane Alipour, were seriously injured after being directly shot by Iran’s border guards at the Baneh border.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the evening of Sunday, April 27, 2025, Ako Sharifi, 22, and Shwane Alipour, 25, both from Baneh, were shot and wounded by border guards.
The two kolbars were directly targeted without warning on the orders of Mostafa Moradi, the deputy commander of Iran’s Border Guards, at the “Hangazhal” border area of Baneh.
Due to the severity and depth of their injuries, both were transferred to medical centers for treatment.
